It is now a requirement of BRC Issue 7 that employees shall “Understand the signs of pest activity and be aware of the need to report any evidence of pest activity to a designated manager.”

The larger retailers also require that key employees are trained in pest awareness and the need for staff to report potential pest problems to supervisory staff.

We have developed a course that will meet these requirements. It lasts approximately 1 hour and deals with the following issues:

Introduction and Definition of a pest

Why is Pest Control So Important?

What Is My Role In Pest Control?

Control Methods

Common Pests and Biology.

Signs of Rodent Infestation

  • Mice
  • Rats
  • Cockroaches
  • Ants
  • Flies
  • Birds

Legal Requirements

Our courses are delivered in very basic terms using a range of pest samples and are easy for staff at all levels to understand. Supporting documents can be provided to form part of your staff handbook, for additional evidence of training.

We are happy to visit your premises to present our course and can cater for large or small numbers. A certificate of attendance is provided for all staff.

If you would like to discuss these options further, please use the contact details below:

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying – I’ve been on holiday with no internet access at all!
The course lasts an hour or so and can be tailored for you. To discuss what you need, just give Lucy at the office a quick call (01274 612559). Regards Marie.
